Architectural accessibility

Statistical Office is located in two buildings.

Building 1 : Statistical Office in Opole, ul. ks. Hugona Kołłątaja 5B, 45-064 Opole.

The building has one main entrance from Ks. Hugona Kołłątaja Street. In front of the main entrance, there is a ramp and wide, threshold-free doorway adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities, of which wheelchair users. The building has four-stories. The reception desk is located on the ground floor, to the left side of the entrance. To the right, there’s a restroom adapted to the needs of persons with special needs. Access to the office areas is secured by doors that open using access cards. Beyond these doors, to the left side, there’s a an elevator with sliding doors. The elevator is equipped with a voice announcement system. An evacuation chair is available in the building, and an informational pictogram regarding it is displayed in the public area. Adequate passage widths are maintained throughout the building interior. The Office’s building is adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The Office does not have its own parking spaces. A municipal parking lot is located next to building, featuring spaces for persons with disabilities. The building lacks Braille signage, as well as high-contrast or large-print markings for the blind and visually impaired. There are no induction loops installed in the building.

Building 2 : Statistical Office in Opole, ul. ks. Hugona Kołłątaja 14, 45-064 Opole.

The Statistical Office premises are located within a section of a residential building. The offices occupy the ground floor and designated area on the first floor. The basement houses the archive, staff break room, a utility room and restrooms. The entrance to the Office’s premises is directly from the sidewalk. There are short flights of stairs in the entrance area, building lacks a ramp for persons with disabilities. There is no reception desk. A doorbell to summon the Office’s employee is located at the entrance. Inside the building – next to the entrance – a handrail has been installed along the stairs. The first section of the building contains a customer service zone, a training and conference zone and a customer workspace, where there’s a possibility to use a computer station with an access to the Internet, as well as book collection. This section also contains a restroom partially adjusted to persons with special needs. The restroom is equipped with a baby changing table. Office premises are located in the second section of the building. Access to office areas – intended primarily for Office’s staff is secured by doors opened via access cards. Adequate passageway widths are maintained in the office section. The Office does not have its own parking spaces, but street parking is available nearby. Designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities are located close to the entrance. The building lacks Braille signage, as well as high-contrast or large-print markings for the blind or visually impaired. A portable induction loop and a magnifying lamp are available on the premises.

 

Communication and information accessibility

A Polish Sign Language interpreter is not available in the Office on a walk-in basis. Such option can be arranged by a prior appointment.
The building at 14 Ks. Hugona Kołłątaja Street is equipped with a portable induction loop and a magnifying lamp.
