RULES FOR DISCLOSING INFORMATION
Official statistics ensure equal, simultaneous, and equitable access to statistical data for all users.
Individual data and personal data collected and maintained through official statistical surveys are subject to special protection. They are covered by statistical confidentiality, which means that they may not be disclosed or published. Such data are used exclusively for statistical compilations, analyses, and reports, as well as for creating statistical survey sampling frames by official statistical services.
- Aggregated data may not be published or disclosed if there is a possibility of identifying a specific individual or business entity. In the case of individual data, information characterizing the economic performance of business entities may not be disclosed if the aggregation consists of fewer than three entities or if the share of a single entity in a given compilation exceeds three-quarters of the total.
- Requests for unpublished data and information from official registers are provided on a fee-for-service basis. The calculation of charges for data dissemination is based on the currently applicable “Price List for Services Provided by Official Statistics.”
SCOPE AND FORMS OF INFORMATION DISSEMINATION
The scope and form of statistical information made available are defined by the Programme of Statistical Surveys of Official Statistics, approved annually by the Council of Ministers.
Any statistical data aggregations other than those specified in the Programme may be prepared (while maintaining statistical confidentiality) upon special request from a user and subject to a fee.
Information is made available in the form of:
- Publications (reports, statistical publications)
- Press releases and information published through mass media
- Information provided directly, by telephone, or by correspondence
- Paid custom-made analyses and reports
- Information published on the Internet

The rules governing registration, amendments, and deletions in the REGON Register are set out in the provisions of the Act on Official Statistics (Journal of Laws 2021, item 955) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 30 November 2015 on the method and methodology for maintaining and updating the National Official Business Register, as well as the templates of applications, questionnaires, and certificates (Journal of Laws 2015, item 2009, as amended).
Issuance of certificates:
Applications for registration, amendment, or deregistration of entities in the REGON Register are accepted at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Kielce – ground floor, Room 2, telephone: +48 41 24 99 612 and +48 41 24 99 613.

Certificates confirming the assignment of a REGON identification number are issued to entities upon their explicit request at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Kielce – ground floor, Room 2, telephone: +48 41 24 99 612 and +48 41 24 99 613.
Information on the identification number assigned to an entity and its local units is available on the website of the Central Statistical Office (GUS).

REGON Register data may be provided upon request of third parties at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Kielce – ground floor, Room 1, telephone: +48 41 24 99 623, +48 41 24 99 624, or by e-mail at sekretariatuskie@stat.gov.pl.
The REGON Register is public and generally accessible. Data concerning entities of the national economy are made available free of charge or for a fee, depending on the scope of the requested data.

Matters related to the National Official Business Register (REGON), including providing information to entities regarding registration procedures in the REGON Register, as well as IT support for the Register, are handled at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Kielce and at its Branch Office in Sandomierz.
